On Thursday, August 21—the liturgical memorial of Saint Pius X, the parish’s patron—auditions were held for actors and extras for the documentary film about the martyrs of the Saint Pius X parish (María Teresa and her daughters). The film is to be produced, God willing, by Ricardo del Pozo, director at Siloé Films.
The meeting was marked by widespread enthusiasm and a desire to participate in a film that could be significant—one that reveals to everyone the fervor of the faith that inspired such a powerful witness from our parish’s martyr family.
In the days leading up to this, Ricardo del Pozo undertook an intensive tour of all the locations where filming is to take place (Agullent, Benigànim, Valencia…), visiting sites, monasteries, parishes, and universities.
Preparations for the shoot are shaping up promisingly, with filming expected to take place at the start of the new season. Preparations are already well advanced, featuring a precise script, confirmed locations, and meticulously curated costumes…
Illustrator David Jiménez (creator of works such as the *Captain Alatriste* comic) also met with Ricardo del Pozo last Wednesday in Algemesí; he wanted to see firsthand the sites associated with the blessed martyrs in order to create his illustrations.
